Two Wives Episode 108 (Finale Week) Reaction-Recap

SPOILER ALERT: Someone dies.

Two Wives Episode 108 Recap

Victor is immediately rushed to the hospital after (accidentally) getting shot by Sandy. Yvonne, Janine and Marcus are also at the hospital but only Yvonne stays by his side as he's getting wheeled to the operating room.

And, the BGM is just...

Victor's shoe falls and Marcus picks it up and holds it close to his chest. One by one, all the other family members arrived.

Seriously though, the music is so cringe-worthy. We get it, this is a very sad moment.

Janine comforts Marcus and when Yvonne sees this, she leads Marcus away.

Everyone prays for Victor as he's getting operated by the doctor. Victor's mom Sonia calls and Gary is the one who gives her the bad news.

While Sandy is arrested and detained, Sonia arrives at the hospital just as the operating doctor comes out of surgery. She looks at everyone and asks who the patient's (Victor) wife is? Janine and Yvonne look at each other but it's Sonia who breaks the tension by introducing herself as Victor's mother.

The doctors successfully removed the bullet and as of the moment, Victor is okay. Sonia asks everyone to leave so she could privately talk to Yvonne and Janine

Doris and Mimi have another ridiculously cheesy dialogue to deliver *fastforward*

Dale is comforted by Audrey while Yvonne looks after a tired and sleeping Marcus. She takes Victor's shoe from him and cries.

Albert arrives at the hospital while Janine and Minerva talk about Audrey and the lawyer and police has assured them that Audrey is safe and will be returned to them.

Janine: "Did Victor really need to sacrifice his life so that I could wake up (from delusions) and for all of this mess to end? And so that, I could accept that I've been such a horrible mother to Audrey and that I've also been a horrible daughter to you."

She apologizes to Minerva who wants nothing more but for them to reconcile.

Minerva: "When Sandy aimed the gun at us, I didn't have the slightest doubt in my heart that I could take that bullet for you anytime, that I could die protecting my daughter, my child and that I could finally be a mother to you."

They trade 'sorry and 'I love you's and finally hug and reconcile.

Victor wakes up and the first thing he says is:

"Who are all of you?" Where am I?"

Really, amnesia? Again?

Everyone's face immediately falls but Victor smiles and says: "Joke!"

That. was. not. funny.

Victor caresses Yvonne's face as he repeatedly assures her that he's okay. Everyone else in the room leaves so they could be alone.

While Janine is still oblivious that Victor has woken up, she gets visited by Carla and I-forgot-her-name? to make sure that she's okay. They immediately hug.

We're almost at the end but I still haven't gotten used to Carla's awkward and forced humor dialogue. Melai deserves better.

Gary interrupts to tell them that Victor has woken up and wants to talk to Janine. She thanks him for saving her and Minerva's life.

Victor asks for forgiveness from Yvonne and Janine, who he both loved, hurt and still continues to inflict misery and suffering.

Janine urges him to rest and continue this when he gets better. Victor, in response, takes her hand and reveals that he has a brain tumor.

Wha---?

Even if the bullet was removed, he still knows that he only has a short time to live.

Are you kidding me???

Yvonne remains silent as Victor explains how he found out himself.

When he was incarcerated, he would vomit non-stop, have headaches and finally his lawyer got him checked out. That was one of the main reasons why the court granted him freedom.

Seriously??

At first, he kept it a secret from everyone because he wanted them to continue living in peace. He wanted to marry Yvonne because he wanted to, "Get back up from where I fell."

At that, Yvonne finally lets the tears fall. Victor thinks that this (death) is God's way to make him pay for all of his wrongdoings.

All he could do now is to thank both of them, "I hope you believed that I really did love both of you in different ways. I hope you can forgive me. I hope (both of) you can find happiness."

The three of them continue to cry.

On his death bed, Victor asks Marlon to take care of his family for him while he asks Marcus why he's always prone to cry. Marcus replies that maybe he got it from his mom.

Victor instructs him to take care of Yvonne and for Marcus to be the man that he wasn't. Marcus is confused, not knowing that his dad is dying.

Victor adds that if Marcus finds the woman he would want to spend the rest of his life with, make sure that she's the only one he's gonna marry.

Marcus promises to do just that. As the monitor beeps, Victor manages to tell his son that he loves him. And those are his last words. He flat lines.

RIP Victor Guevarra.
