Ranking Bea Alonzo’s Star Cinema films Part 3

Best List

This list is for Bea Alonzo's Star Cinema movies that I consider as her best works out of all the SC films she starred in.

My First Romance (2003)

This is Bea Alonzo's first SC film and first collaboration with JLC which marked the start of their loveteam. This was released over 10 years ago but the film aged really well and is still extremely rewatchable, especially if you compare it to the average to disappointing romcoms Star Cinema released this year.

Box Office Gross: 95 million

Personal Rating: 8/10

Dreamboy (2005)

This is such an underrated movie, even if it did well in the box office. It's not the typical romcom story full of worn-out tropes and cliches but it had multiple twists and turns and Bea surprisingly had amazing chemistry with Piolo Pascual (with all three versions of himself).

Box Office Gross: 92 million php

Personal Rating: 8.5/10

One More Chance (2007)

Without a doubt, this is Bea's best SC film. It was engaging, complex and full of flawed but interesting characters. This is her 5th collaboration with JLC and their chemistry and rapport was nothing but wonderfully perfect and compelling.

The best word to describe this movie is 'unforgettable'. I still haven't forgotten the characters 'Popoy and Basha' and who could forget one of the best lines in Philippine mainstream cinema history: "She loved me at my worst. You had me at my best.....and you chose to break my heart." /heartbreak/

Box Office Gross: 156 million php

Personal Rating: 9/10

Part 1: Worst List

Part 2: Mediocre List
