It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez: Episode 5

Episode 5 Snark Recap

Pink Panda: On the cruise ship, Richard and Raymond spend some time and catch-up over lunch. Richard shares because of Baby Z; he has been watching a lot of cartoons lately.

Chunkie: Baby Z’s favorite cartoon is, of course the universally loved, Mickey Mouse. Raymond: “Why are children so attracted to that rat?” Hee!

Pink Panda: Ruffa is with Lorin and Venice in the pool area, she asks them(again!) if she should find a new husband(oy!!).

Chunkie The kids want to try the big waterslide and they urge Mom to try it too. Commence Ruffa’s whining: “It’s the biggest slide ever!!!” “I’m allergic to cold water!”

Pink Panda: Good grief! That woman sure knows how to draw negative attention! Anyway, she relents and tries the slide to prove to her kids that she’s not an old lady.

Chunkie: Next vacation stop: Melaka in Malaysia. Turns out, their guide is a fan of Eddie Gutierrez. *Cue a picture of a young mustached Eddie from years ago*

Pink Panda: They all ride on a boat and on heavily-decorated bicycles. Hello Kitty!!!

Chunkie: They go back to the ship and later that night, they watch a live band performance.

Pink Panda: Turns out, it’s a Filipino band and two of the band members are twins and they’re also named Richard and Raymond.

Chunkie: How coincidental! They talk and talk and take a selfie together. Raymond: “We’re so cute!”

Pink Panda: *rolls eyes* Annabelle is taught rhythmic hip dancing by bikini-clad dancers while Lorin and Venice are learning magic tricks from a magician.

Chunkie: Ruffa flirts with said magician in the guise of innocently asking him questions and Annabelle calls her out for it.

Pink Panda: The twins work out in the gym, with Richard taking it seriously while Raymond complains all the way through.

Chunkie: They fight over every little thing until they decide to just practice boxing combinations.

Pink Panda: *Me thinks that they should release stress by punching each other*

Chunkie: Yeah! They should duke it out like real men. Oh, wait...

Pink Panda: It’s their last night on the ship so they dine in a lavish restaurant. They all sit on two separate tables. The first table(Ruffa’s) are having a blast while the second table(Richard’s) looks pathetically bored.

Chunkie: They talk about Ruffa’s lovelife again(sigh!) and Annabelle mentions that she used to date a PG(Patay Gutom).

Pink Panda: Ruffa tells mom that it’s all in the past and to move on already!

Chunkie: Ruffa calls Eddie “Daddyyy” which I found really creepy? or bizarre?

Pink Panda: Maybe it’s because of her tone of voice and the way she says it?

Chunkie: Either way, it sounds really weird!

Pink Panda: In the other table, Richard and Raymond are bickering over fashion styles. Really guys?

Chunkie: Raymond insists that Richard copies everything and they get into a really heated argument.

Pink Panda: Everyone tells them to be quiet but they keep going at it. Suddenly, Eddie erupts and screams at them to shut up.

Chunkie: It works but everyone is in a bad mood so Richard walks out with Rocky.

Pink Panda: And Episode 5 ends with a ‘…to be continued’ title card.

Chunkie: God! What a boring episode, it gets worse and worse each week.

Pink Panda: Basically, the sole purpose this week is to advertise ‘Star Cruises’. *rolls eyes*
